The COA and Area Agency on Aging are sponsoring a six week Creating Confident Caregiver class on Mondays, March 16 – April 20 at the Lowe Center in Cassopolis. For this spring session, there are two different times choices, a morning time from 10 a.m. till noon or an afternoon time from 1 till 3 p.m.

This class offers skills for family members caring for a loved one with dementia, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Participants will learn about the progression of the disease, how it impacts their loved one, strategies to manage difficult behaviors and the importance of taking care of themselves.

To register, please call Tracy at (269) 982-7731 or email her at tracymanning@areaagencyonaging.org and specify either the morning or afternoon session.

This is a free class. Care for your family member is also available free of charge while attending the class. Please ask for details when registering.
