The Care Services Department facilitates a number of Support Groups designed to provide encouragement, camaraderie and valuable information for those dealing with, or caring for someone with:
Caregivers Support Group
If you are a caregiver; a family member, friend or neighbor, who helps care for an individual who needs help with day-to-day living, Alzheimer's Disease, and other dementias, we welcome you to the Cass County COA's Caregiver's Support Group. Caregivers of all ages can take advantage of this opportunity to learn, grow, and share with others. Meetings include time for personal interaction as well as occasional guest speakers on topics of interest. Care can be provided for your loved one free of charge in our Adult Day Service during this meeting if prior arrangements are made. This group meets the 2nd Wednesdays of each month from 1 to 3pm. Diabetes Support Group
Please join us as we discuss better strategies for self-care in your life with Diabetes. This group meets the First Friday of every month from 1 to 3pm. (learn more)
Grief Support Group
Join us as we move forward through the grief process on this journey in life. Open to those who have experienced a loss of any kind. This group meets the Second Thursday of every month from 1 to 3pm. (learn more)
Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
People with Multiple Sclerosis and their loved ones share support and learning opportunities in this free group. This group meets the third Tuesday of every month from 1 to 3pm. (learn more)
Parkinson’s Disease Support Group
Parkinson’s disease is a complex condition that affects every aspect of life for those diagnosed with it. This group provides support from others who are affected by the disease as well as their family and friends. This group meets the second Tuesday of every month from 1 to 3pm. (learn more)
Stroke Support Group
Both people living with stroke and their loved ones are welcome to attend this support group to share support and learning opportunities. This group meets on the first Tuesday of every month from 1 to 3pm at the Lowe Center AND the fourth Tuesday of every month at Front Street Crossing 10-11:30am. (learn more)
