The COA has partnered with the Dowagiac Library to introduce a new Book Club. This club meets monthly and is hosted at both the Lowe Center in Cassopolis the first Tuesday of the month and the Dowagiac Library the second Tuesday of the month.
Books will be provided by the Dowagiac Library and the meeting will be lead by Gina Simoni from the library.
The book club is always looking for new members to join in reading and sharing.
The group tries to ensure that selections are a mix of fiction and non-fiction and provide a wonderful range of reading adventures.
February’s Discussion Book: Readers Choice
March’s Discussion Book: Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Set in the 24th century, Fahrenheit 451 tells the story of a fireman tasked with the chore of burning all books, along with the houses in which they are hidden, in order to control society’s way of thinking. After meeting his free-thinking neighbor, he begins to question the value of his job, his existence, and the ideas forced upon him. Now he wants to help make the world less mindless, but how?
