Winter Nights at Dr. Lawless Park
It’s that time of the year again when we start wondering, “What is something fun that a family can do that isn’t going to break the bank?” And the answer is the Winter Nights program at Dr. Lawless Park!
January 24 and 31
February 7 and 14
5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Admission cost is $3 per person or 2 canned goods per person. The canned goods are donated to a local food pantry.
The only catch is, Winter Nights are weather permitting, meaning we need to have snow… and with the forecast being what it is this week, it’s looking pretty promising!
Topping the list of favorite things at Winter Nights of course is our lighted tubing hill. So much fun with our 30 tubes that will be in use at no extra cost, or you can bring your own tube (no toboggans or snow boards). We also have 3 miles of lighted cross- country ski trails that will be open, along with our biking trails if you are into fat-tire bicycle riding.
Along with those attractions, there will be a roaring fire, arts & crafts, a star gazing demonstration and delicious concessions available for purchase (my favorite is their hot chocolate!). Who knows, maybe the snow will be perfect for an impromptu snowman making contest!

Be sure to check it out… winter is a great time to enjoy our county parks!
