Benefits of a Walking Club:

Exercise with family, friends and neighbors is fun and easy with a walking club.  Walking with others can keep you motivated, improve your accountability, and help you meet new people with similar goals.

Social connections made in walking clubs can offer you a better sense of wellbeing, emotional mental health, and a way to avoid a decline in overall health that can come with loneliness and depression.

Walking clubs also provide a way to be active for those who are reluctant to exercise alone.

When done regularly, walking at a brisk pace may offer these benefits:

  • Lower the risk of high blood pressure
  • Strengthen bones and muscles
  • Burn more calories
  • Lift moods
