Local Dowagiac artist, Sharron Ott, began creating at the age of 11, training under the Expressionist Painter, Eleanor King Hookam, founder of the Elmhurst Art Museum in Illinois. Sharron went on to study at The Ringling College of Art in Sarasota Florida and then finished with a Bachelors of Fine Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She is highly prolific, and classically trained. Her company, Ott Art, has been in business since 1996, providing fine art, interior design, and teaching services. She mixes paint with various mediums in a free flowing way to achieve the feeling of movement and life. Her expressionistic paintings and distinctive interiors enhance the ambiance of homes and businesses.
The paintings in this exhibition are inspired by ancient legends and tell the story of a time of plagues and social unrest when opposing party leaders try to determine who is the most powerful. Through a tournament of magic, see depictions of this competition and magical strengths.

Artwork will remain on display throughout the entire month of July
