The COA’s Handy Helpers program seems like a perfect fit for these two!

Jim retired from his career in construction and concrete finishing and has been an essential part of the Handy Helpers volunteer team. His background in construction has helped him take the lead on many projects this season and we are grateful for his knowledge and passion for helping seniors in our community.

Melody retired from Lakeland Hospital as the Assistant to the Director of Laboratory and has also joined our Handy Helpers team helping to build handicap accessible ramps for seniors in Cass County. Together they love to hunt, fish and garden and especially enjoy their time with their two grandsons.

The COA and the Cass County community thank the Grubbs for volunteering their time and experience to assist seniors with the basic need of being able to have access in and out of their homes.
