JUNE 19         Billieville – Ed Lowe Foundation - Cassopolis - Come tour the fascinating “town of Billieville” nestled in the beautiful Ed Lowe Foundation complex. - Location: 58220 Decatur Road, Cassopolis, MI 49031 NOTE – This lecture is being held on a Monday

 

JULY 18          1870s House / Heddon Museum - Dowagiac - Join us on a visit to the historic 1870s House located in downtown Dowagiac. Afterwards take a short walk for a tour of the Heddon Museum with its extensive collection of over 1200 Heddon lures, rods and tackle. Location: 1870s House – 306 W. Division Street / Heddon Museum – 414 West Street, Dowagiac

 

AUG 15           History Lecture on “Cass County During the Cold War”  -  Holden Green Tavern -  Join us for a lecture at the beautiful, historic Holden Green Tavern in downtown Cassopolis. - Location: 515 South Broadway, Cassopolis, MI 49031

 

SEPT. 19          Cassopolis Carnegie Library & Turtle Lodge - Come take a tour of the Cass Library’s Local History Branch. This building completed in 1909, was one of 53 Michigan communities to receive funds from Andrew Carnegie for a public library. Join us afterwards for a short walk to Turtle Lodge                          (The Vault) for a visit of this unique property. - Location: 145 North Broadway, Cassopolis, MI 49031

 

OCT. 1           Annual Fall Festival – Newton House - Come to our annual Fall Festival at historic Newton House from 1 to 4:30pm. This is a free, family- friendly event featuring kid’s activities, artisan vendors, free snacks, docent-led tours of Newton House, wagon rides through Fred Russ Forest                                      Park and a Pioneer Costume Contest! - Location: 20689 Marcellus Hwy., Decatur, MI 49045 (Adjacent to Fred Russ Forest Park)

 

 

 

Unless otherwise stated there will be a short Society Business Meeting at 6:30pm with lectures or tours beginning at 7:00pm.
